South Irving Library

This 52,570 square-foot project is a new two-story library in the Heritage Crossing District and received a LEED Silver certification. The library features state-of-the-art technology such as special dimming glass and geothermal wells for energy conservation. The library’s amenities include a multipurpose event space and a basement storage area for materials, study rooms of variable sizes outfitted with smart technology, a media wall, liquid floor tiles in the children’s area and an iCreat lab for teens. Groves Electric was proud to install one of the key features: an iPlayer 3 controlled light show lighting feature. The façade of the new library is constructed of natural Texas limestone elements complementing the style of the Heritage Crossing District.
